A gun-wielding man robbed the Century Casino in St. Albert on Sunday afternoon.
St. Albert RCMP are seeking the public’s help in identifying the man who got into a dark Jeep Cherokee SUV following the heist.

The call came in at 3:52 p.m.
“A lone male entered the casino, produced a firearm and demanded money,” said a news release from St. Albert RCMP.
Police are not disclosing the amount of money taken.

The RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
He had a light complexion and is described as being in his 40s and stands about five feet, six inches tall.
He was wearing a black mask like those worn during the COVID pandemic, a black ball cap with a white Los Angeles Dodgers “LA” logo on the front, black gloves, a black hoodie, a dark jacket and blue jeans.
The suspect was last seen in a dark Jeep Cherokee SUV headed for the intersection of Campbell and Boudreau from the casino at 24 Boudreau Rd.
Formerly called the Apex Casino, it was where RCMP Const. David Wynn, 42, was fatally shot while trying to arrest a suspect on Jan. 11, 2015. The armed man later killed himself.
